Wellbeing for Everyone

Who we are

Greater Africa Foundation is established for promoting Africans and their ways, for the continent and its inhabitants to prosper. Today we have three organizations in Uganda and one in Norway.

We believe in local solutions for local challenges, that there is a lot of knowledge and resources within the communities that can be shared and utilized for the greater good. Our community-members are not helpless people, but skillful people in challenging conditions. We assist in organizing their circumstances so that they can realize their own potential.

So far we got about 1500 community-members in GAF Rising Family Foundation, most of them registered within the first 5 days. We want our activities properly stabilized before we register more community-members. GAF Development Fund is organizing activity groups, and GAF Research Center is a knowledge institution. In Norway, Greater Africa Foreningen is established to gather support for our activities.

What we do

We are working closely with the community to assist families to solve their challenges and develop their livelihoods. Our slogan is “Wellbeing for Everyone”.

How we do it

Our method is to engage in close relationships and deep conversations with families within the community, to fully understand their situation and conditions. We identify their challenges, their skills and resources. Out from this knowledge, we set together teams according to their skills, and tailor activity groups aiming at making them self-sufficient.

We start from nothing, to build a strong foundation. And make the most out of the resources that are already available within the community area, by sharing and find creative ways of using them.
