Why it matters

Activity groups are our main focus. We identify a lot of competance, skills and talent within our 1500 community-members. Many people are struggeling on their own, but by putting people togheter in teams the potential of success is much higher. Ten people can acheive a hundred times more together than they can each on their own.

In the activity groups our community-members receive training, and share skills, experience and resources. All of this is developing the preparedness for work, and is aiming for the members to be able to create their own workplaces.

These activities can change peoples lives. Not only for the participants, but their families and their local community as well.

Our Activities

At this point we have 9 activity groups for adults. Our school also has 7 activity groups for children. We have many members who are eager to start new activity groups, and we want to establish them as soon as there is resources for it.

Here are our activities:

Knitting group consisting of 30 women receiving training in knitting and crocheting.

Two catering group is also under development, that is going to serve take away local food for the area.

We have a dance troupe called Little Lions, where 40-something children are getting training in traditional dances. Our trainer is from Ugandas most famous and legendary troupe, Ndere. As we do not have a proper place yet, they are training every day at our compound, the parking lot and garage of our Head Quarters. They have skilled drummers and they have developed very fast.

ยท      A tailoring group is sewing clothes, and we are in process of recruiting a skilled teacher of fashion designing.

We are in process of establishing an agreement for a collaboration with East African Records, to have studio training and stage performance training for our youth members who are upcoming artists
