School Renovation

Our wonderful school was built in some old basic structures, in twelve days. You can read about our school here.

Even the school is functional for 234 children, it is in need of renovation. Flooding creates damages, doors needs to be changed, the ground outside needs to be leveled amongst other things.

The Children of Greater Africa are very happy to go to school. But there are many who wants to come, and there are not enough space and not enough school benches and equipment.

It can get crowded and for some classes the children has to sit on the floor. The better conditions we can create, the easier it is for the children to concentrate, and the better the possibilities of learning.

We have done some hard work of leveling the ground to make water flow away from the school property during heavy rains. But there is still need of more soil and leveling for the heavy floods.

Digging sewage ditches

Ditches has to be dogged out due to clogging by garbage and other reasons. When the ditches gets blocked it prevents the water to run down to the mail canal. Especially during heavy rains and flooding this becomes a problem. Our volunteers and other wanting to help out are doing quite some work. We would like to initiate some bigger projects in the area through our MyGreenPlant program, hand hopefully get some partners also, to solve this issue for the whole area. Many ditches in the valley does not reach their destination, and still sewage creates a hazard to the health of both the local population and the animals.
